This research aims to compare the effects of ladder training and plyometric training on agility, speed, and power in domestic female cricket players aged 18 to 25 years with at least one year of cricket experience. Cricket is a popular team sport requiring both physical skills and technical knowledge, and the study focuses on female players as the game has gained global attention among women. The purpose is to assess which training method better supports the development of key athletic abilities in these players. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of two groups: Group 1 will receive ladder training, and Group 2 will receive plyometric training. Each training program lasts eight weeks with three 60-minute sessions per week. Ladder training involves drills focusing on quickness endurance, rapid bursts of foot movement, and reactive speed using a 15-foot agility ladder. Plyometric training includes a 15-minute warm-up, 30 minutes of plyometric exercises, and a 15-minute cool-down. During the trial, participants will undergo performance tests before and after the training period, including the vertical jump test, the agility T test, and the 30-meter dash test. Data will be analyzed using SPSS software to evaluate improvements. The study ensures monitoring of training adherence and measures speed, power, and agility changes over the four-week mid-point and at the end of the eight-week program.
