What this Trial Is About
Female urethral stricture is a rare condition affecting women with bladder outlet obstruction, occurring in about 4% to 13% of cases. This research aims to compare two surgical approaches for treating female urethral stricture: oral mucosal graft and labial graft urethroplasty. The study is prospective and randomized, focusing on the effectiveness of these graft types in female patients. Participants will undergo surgical treatment using either an oral mucosal graft or a labial graft with an anterior onlay technique. Patients will be randomly assigned to one of these two procedures to study and compare their outcomes. Both surgical methods involve grafting tissue to reconstruct the urethra. During the study, participants will be monitored with assessments including urine flow rate measured six months after the procedure to evaluate surgical success. Researchers will observe participants' recovery and surgical outcomes over time. The total duration of participation depends on follow-up visits and evaluations scheduled after surgery.
