What this Trial Is About

Researchers are evaluating how education on the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocol affects nursing students' knowledge and attitudes toward evidence-based nursing practices. This study focuses on undergraduate nursing students at Istanbul Arel University and aims to understand if structured ERAS education can improve their understanding and professional outlook. Participants will receive structured theoretical training on ERAS principles as part of the educational intervention. There are no clinical treatments involved; the study uses a quasi-experimental pre-test/post-test design. Knowledge and attitudes are assessed before the education, then again one week and one month afterward to track any changes. Throughout the study, nursing students complete questionnaires and assessment tools related to ERAS knowledge and evidence-based nursing attitudes. Data collection occurs at three points: before the education, one week after, and one month after. The researchers will analyze these results to see how the training impacts students' knowledge and attitudes over time. Participation includes attending educational sessions and completing follow-up assessments.
