This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of an educational escape room method in teaching the Nursing Process to 4th-year nursing students. The study will also explore how this method affects students' self-confidence in clinical skills, teamwork abilities, and anxiety levels. The Nursing Process is a systematic method used by nurses for planning and providing individualized care, but students often face challenges in learning and applying it effectively. Active learning methods like escape rooms may help improve understanding and skills in this area. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of two groups. Both groups will receive two weeks of theoretical training on the Nursing Process. The experimental group will then participate in an escape room game designed around the steps of the Nursing Process, working in teams to solve puzzles and complete tasks within 60 minutes. The control group will study the same case scenario using traditional teaching methods such as discussion and question-and-answer sessions. The escape room includes stages covering assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Throughout the study, students will complete assessments before, during, and after the interventions. These will include tests on Nursing Process knowledge, clinical care planning skills, self-efficacy, team collaboration, and anxiety inventories. Data collection tools include questionnaires and case studies. The study aims to measure how well students learn and apply the Nursing Process, how confident they feel in clinical performance, their ability to work as a team, and their anxiety levels related to the learning method. The study will last several weeks, with structured evaluations at specific timepoints.
